Profile of the Agricultural Experiment Station The Breñas is the diversification and sustainability. Part of its surface is engaged in agricultural research, forestry and livestock activities such as improvement of livestock herds and pigs, the remaining area is used to grow crops for commercial purpose of the main crops in the area, such as soybeans, cotton , sunflower, sorghum and maize.
It has a feed mill, which also have a commercial purpose is to support livestock activities of this Unit of INTA. They also develop their activad Multiplication Center Bird, a Laboratory of Artificial Insemination Pig and a Multiplying Center Swine Genetics.
Its area of ??influence includes the departments of General Belgrano, July 9, Chacabuco, October 12 and April 2, projecting the technological influence the semiarid region.
