Oriental ready meal producer Kwoks shut with immediate effect on Monday, after we revealed the firm lost a major contract with supermarket Asda.
STAFF at a doomed food factory have spoken of their devastation following its closure with the loss of 180 jobs.
Bosses have cited "ongoing financial difficulties" as the reason behind the closure, however an Asda spokesperson said: "Sadly Kwoks were unable to meet the high standards we set for our own-brand suppliers."
Kwoks say that over the past three years the company has made significant losses of £5-million, making it impossible for the firm to continue trading.
