In Alaska alone, 2 billion pounds of fish and crab byproducts are discarded to rot annually. This waste poses a potential environmental threat when concentrated on the ocean floor.
Tidal Vision is helping combat this waste and encouraging sustainable fishing practices by purchasing discarded byproducts from sustainable fisheries. We’ve been using typically-wasted ocean byproducts from the fish and crab industries to make apparel, fashion and accessory products.
Our products consist of Alaska salmon leather and our Chitoskin apparel and textile lines, and we have even more in the works.
