La Agencia de Gestión Agraria y Pesquera (AGAPA) is effectively incorporated on April 30, 2011, following the publication and approval of its statutes (Decree 99/2011 of 19 April, approving the statutes of the Agency Farm Management and Fisheries), thereby assuming all legal relationships, assets, rights and obligations of Public Enterprises Agriculture and Fisheries Development (DAP), which was extinguished simultaneously.
The Agency will carry out its purposes under the plans and programs established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, which determine the objectives and guidelines for action to it, it will monitor their activities and shall, without prejudice to other powers which the legal attributed the efficiency and financial control in accordance with current regulations.
