Nicaraguan Tilapia, S.A. is a modern processing plant located in Nicaragua at km. 34 ½ of the new road to Leon in the municipality of Nagarote, which began operations in 1998 as a family initiative, its founder Mr. Xavier Sanchez, together with his brother Mr. Enrique Sanchez, decided to invest in a seafood processing plant. The logic of operation was the collection of seafood products from different suppliers in the area of Bluefields, San Francisco Libre, among others. They were supported with working capital for the capture of the products. The plant began to process lobster, snail, shrimp, crab and a variety of scales (fish). Currently our vision is to maximize the American market and in the near future the European market, taking into account the quality standards and regulations.

It is worth mentioning that as part of our social responsibility, Nicalapia currently employs more than 100 heads of families from the municipality of Nagarote. This is how our development arises whose purpose is the diversification of our export of fresh and frozen seafood products.

Our goal is to satisfy the needs of our customers, guaranteeing the export of seafood with high quality standards.


Nicaraguan Tilapia, S.A. es una moderna planta procesadora ubicada en Nicaragua en el km. 34 ½ carretera nueva a león en municipio de Nagarote , , dinicia sus operaciones en 1998 como una iniciativa familiar, su fundador el Lic. Xavier Sánchez, junto a su hermano el Lic. Enrique Sánchez, decidieron invertir en una planta procesadora de mariscos. La lógica de operación fue el acopio de productos del mar a diferentes proveedores de la zona de Bluefields, san francisco libre, entre otros. Con quienes se les apoyaba con capital de trabajo para la captura de los productos. La planta inició a procesar langosta ,caracol , camaron , Jaiba y variedad de escamas (peces) . Actualmente nuestra visión es maximizar el mercado Americano y en un futuro muy cercano el mercado europeo, tomando en cuenta los estándares de calidad y regulaciones correspondientes.

Cabe resaltar que como parte de la responsabilidad social actualmente Nicalapia emplea a más de 100 cabezas de familias procedentes del municipio de Nagarote. Así es como surge nuestro desarrollo cuyos fines son la diversificación en nuestra exportación de productos de mariscos tanto frescos como congelados.

Nuestra meta es satisfacer las necesidades de nuestros clientes, garantizando la exportación de mariscos con altos estándares de calidad.
