At the beginning, the company started constructing machinery for the meat industry. Today, the working field is much broader with customers in the potato, vegetables and fish processing industries. The emphasis is on grilling and roasting of food products.
January 2017 - Marlen International, Inc., a global manufacturer of highly engineered food processing equipment and systems, and a subsidiary of Chicago-based Duravant LLC, has acquired Afoheat, adding a new set of continuous thermal processing technologies to their existing batch thermal solutions. The acquisition enhances their ability to serve a more diverse customer base while drawing on the strong reputation of the Marlen and Afoheat brands.
