Scotland Food & Drink was created in June. 2007, and its launch was the first official engagement of Richard Lochhead MSP in his role as Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment for the Scottish Government.
The organisation brings together all the key sectors within the food and drink industry in Scotland, as well as delivery organisation and Public Sector agencies (Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise).
Since then, the organisation has developed and launched a new strategy for the entire industry, looking to grow from £10Bn to £12.5Bn by 2017.
Its members, from the Scottish Food and Drink industry include companies of all shapes and sizes, from farmers to retailers, and supporting organisations, including trade associations and groups dealing with specific sectors of the industry.
Scotland Food & Drink offers its members a range of benefits and services worth over £10,000, as well as leading and coordinating key industry wide initiatives.
