Compañia Internacional de Pesca y Derivados, S.A. (INPESCA) (INPESCA, S.A.) is a company who started trading in November 1972. The main activity of this company is the capture and commercialisation of frozen tuna species using the seine fishing mode. The company boasts modern fishing boats (seine tuna freezer trawlers) equipped with crew qualified for the job. The main species captured by the factory fleet are the yellow fin and the skipjack. The seine method using, large nets which surround the shoals, of tunas is used. Once hoisted aboard, the fish is frozen by immersing it immediately in brine tanks at a temperature of -18 degrees centigrade.
