Shoreside Organics is located in Point Judith, RI. The company was started by a few people working at Seafreeze fish plant which received tens of thousands of pounds of fresh squid per day caught from a single source. Being that Rhode Island is the squid capitol of the East Coast, the vast majority of the squid is caught and cleaned for calamari. This left much of the remaining parts of the squid to go unused or thrown away. The company founders decided that the wasting of so much squid was unacceptable and that the whole squid body should be used beneficially. After months of research and with the help of the University of Rhode Island's food science and horticulture experts, an effective squid-based liquid fertilizer has been produced in Rhode Island. We are capable of custom blend N-P-K fertilizers to suite your specific needs.
