Landsbankinn established the holding company Vestia ehf. as its subsidiary, in response to the unique circumstances in the domestic financial market.
The company is responsible for the management and divestment of equity holdings in corporates which Landsbankinn obtains as a result of financial debt restructuring of corporates or other enforcement procedures.
