DELTA was established in 1966. Our first activity was the design and erection of electrical, industrial refrigeration, and air conditioning systems. Today we are still very active in the industrial refrigeration field were we have increased our coverage with local manufacturing of various components. DELTA has installed over 40,000 tons of refrigeration or horse power for various applications. Since 1978, after 3 years of design, research and testing, we begun the manufacture of large vertical seawater pumps. The initial driver for the development of our pumps was the rapid expansion of shrimp farms in Ecuador. Over the years, our pumps applications extended to industrial, municipal, and agriculture. Today, DELTA has over 1,200 pumps operating in 17 countries around the world. Our pumps include axial flow, mixed flow, and francis type pumps. In March 2004, DELTA was awarded with the ISO 9001:2000 quality standards certificate for the design and manufacture of water pumps for aquaculture, agriculture, municipal, and industrial applications. ( ISO 9001:2008 )
