JFK is a strong fish producing company, rich on natural resources, competences and production facilities. Building on the strong traditions of the company’s almost 100 years of history on the Faroe Islands, the company now holds a portfolio of three business areas: Fish products frozen at sea from the Barents Sea, processed fish products from the Faroese fishing grounds, and finally processed fish products from the Greenlandic fishing grounds. A red thread through the three segments is the company’s ample access to raw material in terms of fishing quotas securing a stable supply chain.
JFK is also participating in joint ventures with business partners. Together with two local companies, JFK is a major shareholder in a cold store in Klaksvík. In another joint venture with an international partner, JFK manages the pelagic trawler Naeraberg and the pelagic factory PP Faroe Pelagic.
