Mørenot Dyrkorn has delivered longlines and equipment to fishermen for 100 years
The area around 62 ° north, off the Norwegian coast, has always had a strong and active longline fishing environment. Mørenot Dyrkorn was established to produce and deliver equipment to the fleet of longline fishing vessels. The vessels did go even farther away from home. Together with fishermen, we created a development environment that eventually also involved research, and Mørenot Dyrkorn became the world leader in the longline fishing area.
Dyrkorn longlines are used in coastal longline fishing and in longline fishing in deep waters. As the longline fishing has become more industrialized and larger, larger values are at stake. Mørenot Dyrkorn's close contact with shipowners and fishermen has had an even bigger impact.
