Hyde is a respected supplier of equipment and services to the Marine market, particularly on the U.S. Great Lakes, but also globally. We produce and sell deck machinery, steering systems, oil/water separators and marine chemicals. Hyde is the U.S. Distributor for Kvaerner Eureka firefighting systems and recently introduced Eagle stern tube bearings and shaft seals to the U.S. market. We also produce marine electronic equipment through a subsidiary, Hyde Marine Systems.
Hyde entered the Oil Spill Response Equipment market in 1978, becoming the exclusive U.S. Distributor for the Destroil skimming package.
In 2003, Hyde partnered with Lamor Corporation Ab of Finland to establish a new manufacturing company
In 2008 Lamor Group expanded its business operations to new fields of environmental technology by acquiring full ownership of Hyde Marine.
