Blue Fish is the European Association for the Promotion of Sustainable and Responsible Fisheries. Launched by the two biggest fishing ports in France, we now bring together actors from the fisheries sector across Europe, from fishing professionals to research institutes, from public institutions to port management organisations and NGOs, from France, Spain, UK, Ireland, Portugal, and Germany. Our goal is to showcase the active contribution of fisheries to the economic and social development of coastal areas. Blue Fish and all its members exemplify the merits of the social model of the fishing sector, the diversity of its activities and the evolution of fishing techniques over the past 10 years. As an organisation, we intend to explain our sector to the European Parliament, European Commission and national Government representatives, as well as the media and the general public. Blue Fish will continue to gather and share scientific, technical and economic knowledge related to sustainable and responsible fishing, fisheries companies and shipbuilding industry.
