Cumbrian Seafoods Ltd was established at Maryport in June 1997 to provide a range of fresh fish, shellfish, coated and added value seafood products to the UK's leading multiple retailers like ASDA, TESCO, Morrisons,etc.
The vision was, and still is, to set the Industry Standard in quality, price and service levels.
The business has grown rapidly and after the formation of Cumbrian Holdings Ltd in April 2001 Grants Smoked Foods, renowned for its award winning, quality salmon products was acquired, followed by Cumberland Cold Storage, now renamed Cumbrian Seafoods (Whitehaven), and then Border Laird, based in Northumberland and for many years at the forefront of shellfish processing.
Outside of the UK, we have made equity investments in Iceland and the Far East.
