Netmak ltd is one of the most technologically developed company in the design and construction of top quality fishing nets. It was established in 1925 by the founder of the company Athanasios Kalaitzis the senior. Since its very beginning, the company was driven by a spirit of innovation in product development. Those years 70 women were mending and twisting twines by hand. The main raw material was cotton and silk lines. In 1950 Netmak ltd introduced Nylon multifilament netting in the Greek market which was a major innovation.
Our new premises that was built in 2006 in the industrial area of Kavala - North Greece cover an area of 4000m2.
Our warehouse holds a capacity of 900 europallets of fishing nets and gear in stock. Our current production unit is capable of delivering 10.000m of trammel/gill nets per working day in one shift operation as well as two (2) trawls for 1000HP engine per day.
The rigging of trammel nets is made by a very special stitching machine which ensures best fishing effort, uniform netting distribution and stability during shooting, fishing and hauling.
