NH Foods Ltd., formerly Nippon Meat Packers, Inc. (Public, TYO:2282), is a food processing conglomerate headquartered in Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan. Founded in 1949, the company is commonly known as Nippon Ham. As a multinational corporation, Nippon Ham operates subsidiaries around the world, including China and the United States. In the USA and Australia, the Nippon Ham Group established structures for large-scale meat production, processing, and export. In Europe and South America, they have built up procurement capabilities in order to facilitate optimal, global procurement.
The Company operates in three business segments. The Processing segment produces and sells hams, sausages and other processed food. The Meat segment is engaged in the breeding of pigs, cattle and broilers, as well as the processing and sale of meat products. The Associated Company segment is engaged in the production and sale of dairy products and aquatic products. As of March 31, 2014, the Company had 89 subsidiaries and five associated companies.
We procure "safe and secure" raw marine ingredients and processed marine products from Japan and abroad and deliver them to customers.
Overseas, we use a network of partner companies in various countries. We rigorously examine quality, hygiene management, product standards, production structures, and other elements at each location before making purchases.
