Coldwater prawns - or Pandalus borealis as they are called in Latin - are unique. “Borealis” means northern and refers to the prevalence of these prawns in far northern waters where sea temperatures are between 1 and 6 degrees Celsius.
Coldwater prawns are fished in clean, deep waters and have a quality and purity that few other products in the world can boast. Coldwater prawns taste good together with many exotic spices in both hot and cold dishes.

The three former competitors are Olympic Seafood AS, Arctic Swan K/S and Remøy Havfiske AS. Coldwater Prawns of Norway AS is an innovative company that invests in the future, and that offers one of the world’s finest and purest products.
Our vessels, Remøy, Arctic Swan, Olympic Prawn, and Nordøytrål, accounted for approximately 80% of all prawns caught by Norwegian ocean-going vessels in 2010.
