The Sequid analytical instruments are based on dielectric spectroscopy. A broadband electric impulse is emitted to the material which is to be examined and the reflection is measured and analysed using multivariate statistics. The different physiological states of the measured tissues are reflected by different dielectric properties which can be classified by principal component analyses and artificial neural networks.
