The Albe-fish farm was founded in 1989 and annually produces 250 t eel in the private Aalzuchtbetrieb and Europe in addition to about 500 tons of live eels purchased. The eels are sorted according to customer requirements in various sizes and sold primarily in Germany and the neighboring Netherlands. Customers are Großräuchereien including in Oldenburg, Steinhude, Bremerhaven, Hamburg and in the region on Lake Dümmer. With its own truck, the eels are delivered.
In 2003, a fully automatic slaughter was built. Starting with the electric killing to packaging production of eels has been fully automated. It is now possible in the new slaughterhouse to process a daily amount of up to 4000 kg eel.
After processing the slaughtered eels with a cooling forwarding are delivered to customers.
The eels are sold according to the customer with a weight between 150 and 1000 grams, the customer needs vary by region. Whereas in Ostfriesland the smaller eels are required, the southern part of Germany rather prefers the larger eels.

Die ALBE-Fischfarm wurde gegründet im Jahr 1989 und produziert jährlich 250 t Aal in dem eigenem Aalzuchtbetrieb und zusätzlich werden europaweit etwa 500 Tonnen lebende Aale eingekauft. Die Aale werden nach Kundenwünschen in verschiedenen Größen sortiert und vor allem in Deutschland und den angrenzenden Niederlanden verkauft. Kunden sind unter anderem Großräuchereien in Bad Zwischenahn, Steinhude, Bremerhaven, Hamburg und in der Region am Dümmer See. Mit eigenem LKW werden die Aale angeliefert.
