1947: The company starts operating in Agadir, near the harbor in the Anza Industrial District.
1960: An earthquake ravages the city of Agadir and destroys houses and factories. Belma, whose buildings are affected, is forced to stop production.
2000: Belma absorbs the neighboring cannery “Assamak” and merges the two production sites.Belma merges with “Assamak” and incorporates both production sites.
2002: Wenceslas Chancerelle SAS, a Briton canning company located in Douarnenez (France), acquires a third of Belma's equity capital as a partner.
2008 : Moving the production site at Ait Melloul industrial neighborhood near the airport AGADIR AL MASSIRA
We produce and distribute our own brands: Belma and Armorial on the international markets and Anza on the Moroccan market. Belma exports almost its entire production. Our main market is Europe, which accounts for 50% of our exports (it includes, among others, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Britain and Switzerland), followed by Africa (Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, etc…) and North America.
2006 et 2007 processed 21000T of fish and produced 90 millions of canned food boxes"club" and 26 million Euros in turnover. Belma has over 1000 employees, including 100 who are employed on a permanent basis.
