The company was founded in 1985 and is owned by the main shareholder, the Fehsenfeld family, a German canning factory 4 Danish fishing Vessels. Havfisk Skagen A/S has been awarded approval and produces and sells fresh and frozen fish products.
The company’s main product is herring processed into so-called “butterflies” (double fillets) and delicatessen products, which are sold fresh in iced boxes. Whole herring is also sold either fresh or frozen.
Havfisk Skagen A/S processes up to 270 tons per day. The company is equipped with advanced machinery, and new technology has been introduced over the past 2-3 years.
