Norma is a food discount store with more than 1,300 stores in Germany, France, Czech Republic and Austria. The stores are appearing as Norma and Norma-Rodi, as Norma has acquired the company Rodi.
In 1921 the family company "George Roth" in Fürth, Germany were founded. Out of this company in the 1960s the first Norma store opened in the south of Germany. Since end of the 1980s, Norma has developed from a regional discount store to a international acting company.
Same as several other big German discount store companys the concept is based on the idea of having a small product line of goods for the daily life. Also regional products and brands are in the product line.
Today, Norma has a network of over 1,300 branches, which runs through Germany, France, Czech Republic, and since the spring of 2005 also of Austria. All these branches are managed and cared for by a total of 16 branches.
