Since launched trial fishing by tuna long liner in the India Ocean in 1957. Korea Overseas Fishery has made a remarkable growth in the short period of on less than of a century. Recognizing the responsibility of leading fishing industry, Korea's overseas fishing industry has been doing its best to implement regional and international commitments for the effective conservation and management of living marine resources and the sustainable utilization of them through close tie and amicable cooperation with coastal states and international bodies.
