Alimentos Marinos ALIMAR is a Mexican company founded in 1981, It produces healthy products from Sardine, rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. The company owns and operates 4 refrigerated fishing vessels, and a transformation plant strategically located on the shores of the Sea of ??Cortez, in Mexico. The vertical integration of the company allows to guarantee the customer the quality of the product from the capture until the delivery of the finished product. Fishing Our fishing fleet consists of four sardine boats, being one of the most modern and equipped with the technology in fishing gear for satellite navigation, detection through sonars, radars and videosondas. Regarding the Sustainability of the fishing activity, it has the Marine Stewardship Council certification, for the sustainable fishing of the sardine in the Gulf of California, being the first and only one in Mexico to obtain it. Production process The raw material is processed by automated cooking, pressing, steam drying, grinding and packaging techniques. Product description Experience has shown that daily weight gain and conversion are greatly influenced by the quality of fishmeal used in food compounds. The main material that the company uses is fresh sardine of the Criunda, Monterrey and Bocona species, with which fishmeal and fish oil are produced with the highest and acceptable digestibility and proteins whose content is high in essential amino acids and especially useful for aquaculture industry.
