Allship Verwaltungs- und BeteiligungsGmbH & Co. was established in 1983 to act as Ship Sale and Purchase (S&P) brokerage in Hamburg. The parent company, Verwaltungs- und BeteiligungsGmbH, was founded in 1965.
After establishing the S&P desk at Germany's foremost owner-broker, Allship's founder Richard Mücke set out to establish a modern, fast-reacting and well-informed brokerage company under the name and style of Allship. Based on the concept of consistent and highly personalized service, Allship has prospered ever since and grown.
Originally concentrating on the second-hand market for bulk carriers and multipurpose ships, Allship has since expanded its scope and expertise to include containerships, passenger vessels, ro-ro ships, fishing, offshore and research vessels as well as newbuilding contracts and ship sales for demolition.
Thus, rather than focusing only on Germany, Allship is an international broker based in Hamburg. Not surprisingly, however, as locals begin to appreciate the new level of service, Allship has steadily captured significant German business, often against powerful or long-established connections.
