Hunter Marine Foods came into existence in 1997 with the goal of engaging primarily in the international trading of fish and seafoods with an emphasis on movement of full container loads as its mainstay. The company at its inception targeted the Eastern seaports of North America as well as the Caribbean in an effort to gain a market share for the products being traded which originated mostly from the Far East, Europe and Central & South America. The vast network of suppliers and their agents operating overseas allowed H-M to gain vast product knowledge such that specific needs of customers in the marketplace could be suitably met. From its humble beginnings as a broker, Hunter Marine has evolved into a full-fledged international trading house while gaining a reputation of reliability and commitment to its trading partners, both at home in North America and overseas to the far reaches in Asia.
