Borneo Aqua (Public - BORN:MK) was incorporated on 16 April 2004 in Malaysia as a private limited company and was converted into a public company on 20 May 2004. Borneo Aqua was listed on the MESDAQ Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 5 September 2005. Borneo Aqua has four wholly-owned subsidiaries, namely Plentiful Harvest Sdn. Bhd., Marine Terrace Sdn. Bhd., Salient Horizon Sdn Bhd and Well Sky Logistics Ltd.
Plentiful Harvest was established with the focus on marine fish breeding and hatchery to support the local marine aquaculture industry and to reduce dependence on foreign imported fish fry and fish. Marine Terrace is principally involved in the rearing of marine fish whilst Salient Horizon and Well Sky Logistics own a live fish carrier each for the transport of the Group’s live adult fish to its customers in Hong Kong, Southern China and other parts of Asia Pacific.
While other aquaculture companies in Malaysia deal only with certain aspects of aquaculture processes, Borneo Aqua Group is an integrated aquaculture Group which involves itself in the entire process of sustainable aquaculture i.e. broodstock management, R&D, breeding, hatching, rearing, productions of live feed, marketing, transportation of live fishes and provision of training and consultancy services related to the industry.
