Blount’s make the acquisition of Great Soups, Inc., a fresh soup manufacturer of Bristol, Rhode Island, which included the company’s USDA-inspected plant. The purchase has enabled Blount to expand the scope of its product portfolio and capabilities to include an extensive line of fresh soups marketed under the "Cooks & Butler" brand, incorporating both meat and poultry-based products.

As of 2009 we have successfully stayed focused on building a world-class soup business and now we are ready to branch out into other value-added prepared foods. Our focus will be on investing on processes that blend premium ingredients into a gourmet refrigerated food offering, taking the form of dips, spreads, salads and more. We will be offering these products under the Blount, Legal Sea Foods, Panera Bread and private label brands.
