Wenberg farming AS is located in Fauske municipality in Skjærstad Fjord, Nordland. Localization means that the sites are well protected from the weather, and vessel traffic. At the same time provides the world's strongest maelstrom, Saltstraumen for a very large water exchange in the fjord. Operations at the plant has been good since its inception in 1982 partly because of the good water replacement, and high freshwater influence in the summer. Fresh water causes the salmon lice do not survive in the fjord and fish are thus very good conditions for growth and well-being. The company has a strong focus on operations and rates. August 2007, 2 licenses for salmon and trout. Production is about 2000 tons per year .. Wenberg farming AS cooperates with other salmon producers in Salten through the company Salten Aqua Invest AS.
