Icelandic Export Center Ltd was established in 1972 and markets seafood products from the North Atlantic from affiliated producers.  Together they make up a vertically integrated group connected through ownership ties.  The operation includes deep-sea fishing vessels freezing on-board, deep-sea fishing vessels bringing fresh catch for peeling, local fjord catch boats, land based processing, marketing of products, and exports.
Main fishing areas are in the North Atlantic Ocean: 
- Flemish Cap in NAFO area, 
- Icelandic fishing grounds, and 
- Barents Sea.
