Naust Marine hf. was founded in 1993. The company's goal is to develop, produce and market equipment for ships and the marine industry. The main product, the Automatic Trawl Winch (ATW) system for electrical winches, has been in development since 1979.
Naust Marine has an impressive reference list of domestic and international ships that have the ATW system on board. Growing number of ship owners are realizing the advantages of electrical winches over hydraulic powered ones and our aim is to hold on to our position as the number one supplier of electrical winches.
Another system developed by Naust Marine is the so called AutoGen, a power management system for controlling automatic load sharing of generators.
Naust Marine added a sales department of industrial components in 1999 and is now the Icelandic agent for well known brands like Omron, Hitachi, Fluke and many more.
In the year 2002 Naust Marine merged with the Icelandic engineering company Logic. Logic had specialized in industrial automation and its staff members had years of experience in the field. The merger was the foundation for Naust Marine's new Industrial automation department.
Naust Marine hf. is located in the town Hafnarfjordur on the outskirts of the city of Reykjavik. Today Naust Marine has 20 employees, all with long experience in their field.
