Grupo Consorcio grew out of a fusion of various business projects and was founded in order to satisfy the culinary demands of even the most demanding consumers, and to be a reference point in terms of guaranteed quality.
Grupo Consorcio dates back to 1950, when a group of fish processing and manufacturing professionals founded the Consorcio Español Conservero, S.A. in Santoña, Cantabria. The main factory was opened in the same town, and later on, another production centre was set up in Colindres, which is also in the Spanish region of Cantabria.
In 1994, the group acquired Conservas Barredo S.A., Pelazza, S.L. joined the Group in 2004, and Productos Campanal S.A. followed suit a year later.
