CO2 Group Limited (Public - ASX:COZ) is an Australia-based company engaged in the provision of carbon solutions company dedicated to creating a better climate. The Company operates under two segments: Carbon Forest Sink Establishment, which is engaged in the accredited carbon forest sinks throughout Southern Australia on behalf of third parties, primarily for domestic and international companies and state governments, and Carbon Offsets, which is engaged in the provision of abatement certificates generated from accredited carbon forest sinks owned by the Group, and trading in environmental credits. As of June 30, 2012, the Company’s subsidiaries were CO2 Australia Limited, Carbon Banc Limited, Carbon Estate Pty Ltd, CO2 New Zealand Limited and Mallee Land Company Pty Ltd.
In August 2012 CO2 group announced a takeover bid for Western Australian Resources Limited, a company involved in large scale aquaculture. The takeover was finalised the following month. In May 2013 WARL secured properties in Northern Australia to initiate a large scale aquaculture project known as Project Sea Dragon.
In September 2013, the Company’s subsidiary Western Australian Resources Limited (WARL) announced the acquisition of the Marine Farms Pty Ltd aquaculture site in Exmouth Gulf, Western Australia.
