The Louisiana Crawfish Farmers Association (LCFA) strives to be the primary resource, advocate and proponent for the crawfish industry.
It is a state-wide, private-sector "of the farmer, for the farmer" trade association. It is a duly recognized non-profit organization governed by an all-volunteer board of directors comprised of active crawfish farmers representing nearly 1500 crawfish farm operations across the state of Louisiana and is domiciled in St. Martinville, Louisiana.
The mission of the organization is to promote, develop, stimulate and encourage cooperation, education and understanding among crawfish farmers, related agricultural and aquacultural businesses, researchers and educators, industry suppliers and vendors and elected officials and governmental agencies, as well as crawfish consumers everywhere.
