Lobster Academy™ is dedicated to increasing the value of Homarus americanus worldwide for all partners – fishermen, buyers, and consumers; through quality education and discovery for lobster buyers, importers and other industry opinion leaders.
The four day curriculum reflects industry issues including traceability, sustainability certification, demand, pricing, processing, regulatory issues and marketing opportunities. Matched with hands on training aboard a lobster boat and in a lobster plant, an in depth knowledge is secured for each participant. Classes are kept to approximately 20 participants and include representatives from domestic and international food service and retail.
