The Octopus Yucatan México Committee (Comité Estatal Sistema Producto Pulpo Yucatán, A. C.) is a civic association comprised of 15 members. All of them are important members of the fisheries industry at Yucatán, México. Administrative, analysis, financial, Quality control, educational and promotional functions are undertaken to encourage the industry development based on a sustainable fishery and social development. Decisions are taken with local and federal government agreements.
The Committee was established on March 2008. It is comprised of representatives from the fisherman organizations, processing plants, exporters from coastal areas of Yucatán, México.
