The Plastic Films segment includes three operating divisions: Stretch Films, Custom Films and Institutional Products. Injection Molding is a manufacturer of both custom and injection molded products sold primarily to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the home appliance, power tool, automotive parts, recreational vehicle and construction industries. Profile Extrusion is a manufacturer of custom extruded plastic products.
In 2008, Atlantis Plastics agreed to delist from NASDAQ and move to Pink Sheets following disclosure that the company was not in compliance with the minimum bid price requirement.
In August 2008, the Company filed voluntary petitions for Chapter 11 reorganizations for itself and its subsidiaries in the United States Bankruptcy Court.
