Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (Poland) Ltd. was first established under the name Baltic Marine in 1987 in Warsaw, as a Polish agency of the Schulte Group. In 1994 a branch office was opened in Szczecin.
Since March 1999 our company has owned and occupied the fully refurbished, historical fishermen’s house ‘Dom Rybaka’.
Our Service Delivery Centre initially offered recruitment services for Polish seafarers, which quickly evolved into providing comprehensive Crew, Training and Technical Management to our clients. The number of seafarers recruited through our company increased from 200 in 1992 to over 1,000 officers and seamen working with us in 2008.
Every year we take in approximately 80 Cadets and 40 Officer Assistants, with the aim of creating a stable pool of future Junior Officers. Cooperation with the local maritime universities and Officer Training Centres has helped us develop efficient training systems ranging from basic levels of maritime English to highly specialized, in-house LICOS simulator training for LPG, LNG and crude tankers, unique ship handling capabilities in Ilawa and free-fall lifeboat courses.
Since January 2008 all the ship management companies of the Schulte Group merged into on brand BERNHARD SCHULTE SHIPMANAGEMENT.
