Northsyde Processing Limited, located in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, is the only shrimp processing plant in Nova Scotia. Started in December 2008, Northsyde Processing was founded in order to process a top quality cooked and peeled shrimp prawn from Nova Scotia's natural, wild-caught shrimp resource. Northsyde Processing produces shrimp from only top quality, wild-caught fisheries in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, Quebec, and Maine. Northsyde Processing is constantly working to improve its products and the variety it can offer its customers. Some new things we are working on include: Producing Mira Bay Branded retail bags in 1 pound, 2 pound, and 5 pound varieties. Obtaining British Retail Consortium (BRC) certification. Obtaining Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certification.
