PASCO Seafood Enterprises is committed to responsible and sustainable fisheries and procurement practices. This means a transparent approach to doing business. Our seafood products all come from certified sources or sources in the process of being certified.
Our partnership with the Vancouver Aquarium's Ocean Wise™ program is an example of our commitment to serve and provide sustainable, ocean-friendly seafood. Many of our products also carry the Marine Stewardship Council's (MSC) Chain of Custody certification. What this means is we have been evaluated by an independent third party accredited to assess fisheries to the MSC environmental standard for sustainable fishing. Throughout the supply chain, use of the MSC ecolabel on our products is only permitted where there has been independent verification that the product originated from an MSC-certified fishery. A Chain of Custody certificate for each company in the supply chain provides this verification.
PASCO does not harvest or sell species which appear as endangered or critically endangered on the IUCN Red List. Our fishing practices result in little if any by-catch of other marine life.
