Established in 1923 traditional company LÜBBERT has been regarded as a qualified and service-oriented trading partner in the raw material business for decades, which is highly respected by all significant fish markets.
Our success story began more than 80 years ago, when the namesake Friedrich Wilhelm Lübbert established a fish trading company in Cuxhaven. In the 1960s his son Eddy Lübbert took over the management and gained the company’s international success. In 1998 the current manager Hans-Joachim Holtermann acquired ownership of Friedrich Wilhelm Lübbert GmbH & Co. KG. Nowadays the company is based in Bremerhaven, the core of Germany’s food produce industry.
As an importer we ensure the supply of raw materials to the trade and industry in Germany and abroad from our base in Bremerhaven. At the same time we form a bridge to the European market for international producers.
In order to always be able to provide the fish punctually and in fresh condition, we have installed a special logistics and control system. The development of the catch seasons and supply markets is permanently observed by our team of experts, so that the customers’ current needs can be reliably met.
