In 1988 Clover Corporation began as a family owned Australian research-based company dedicated to providing quality lipid based products which enhance the health and well-being of the community.
Clover Corporation was publicly listed on 25 November 1999 on the Australian Stock Exchange. The company evolved from being a Research and Development, Manufacturing and Marketing company to one concentrating on forming strategic relationships focused on technology, new product development and commercialization.
Clover Corporation Limited (Public - ASX:CLV) is an Australia-based company engaged in refining and sale of natural oils; production of microencapsulated powders, and the research and product development of functional food and infant nutrition ingredients. The Company operates in three segments: soy production, tuna oil and microencapsulated powders, and investment/treasury. It is engaged in delivering bioactive ingredients through encapsulation technology, which include tuna oil and other nutritional lipids.
The Company has a manufacturing plant for tuna oils and related products at Altona in Victoria. During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2011, the Company focused on the development, manufacture and sale of Omega-3 oils and encapsulated bioactive ingredients for infant formula, children's foods, supplements and medical foods. On October 9, 2012, it sold the remaining assets in Future Food Ingredients Pty Limited, a joint venture between Clover Corporation Limited and Austgrains Pty Limited (50:50).
