After the Chinese company LHF Marine Development Ltd, announced as the first company to come and develop the new fishing port of Bain des Dames, is a South African company that wants to relocate its premises in Beira, Mozambique, to s implanting in Mauritius. This is the AfriTex company whose representatives have traveled to Mauritius for a meeting with the Ministry of Finance managers at the end of last week. According to the first draft of his project, asks AfriTex able to operate two of its tuna beating Mauritian flag. For now, they are used in Mozambique until the agreements with Mauritius are finalized. In its draft, the project promoters seem confident to obtain fishing rights in the waters of Mauritius. Thus, in the second phase of development, the company plans to engage in other fishing techniques and equip its ships new technologies. Il s’agit de la société AfriTex dont les représentants ont fait le déplacement à Maurice pour une rencontre avec des cadres du ministère des Finances à la fin de la semaine dernière. Selon la première ébauche de son projet, AfriTex demande à pouvoir opérer deux de ses thoniers battant pavillon mauricien. Pour le moment, ils sont utilisés au Mozambique en attendant que les accords avec Maurice soient finalisés. Dans leur ébauche, les promoteurs du projet semblent confiants de pouvoir obtenir des droits de pêche dans les eaux mauriciennes. Ainsi,dans la deuxième phase des développements, cette société prévoit de se lancer dans d’autres techniques de pêche et d’équiper ses navires de nouvelles technologies. En revanche, c’est la troisième phase qui semble plus ambitieuse.
