The partner-owned firm, which has stakes in more than 120 companies worldwide, participates in venture capital investments, growth capital deals, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations. An active investor, the company usually holds its stakes for five to seven years. It invests in a range of businesses operating out of the health care, energy, industrial, media, technology, financial services, and consumer goods sectors, among others. The firm has more than $35 billion in assets under management.
