COMPANY OVERVIEW:
In the late 1960's, when the sea food processing industry was not that active, Late Shri. M. V. Ramachandra Bhat, founder, Mangala Group got into the field of sea food processing. 18 years of joint venture with Paragon Group gave him enough experience and confidence to start an export company of his own. He was confident enough to face risk and challenges, and drink from the cup of success, which he eventually did.
Mangala Group exploded tremendously to become a market leader in Kerala, or even South India. It achieved new heights with both production volume and turnover increasing many manifolds every year. From 500MT in 1985 to 100,000 MT in 2017-18, Mangala Group has never had a dip in exports in its track record. Looking back through its progress, Mangala Marine Exim India Pvt. Ltd. has had exceptional track record and created new records which the company itself breaks.
The company expanded so rapidly that orders could not be fulfilled with just one plant. To overcome this, the company acquired a new plant. Even this could not help cope up productionwith orders. With little plans to stop, the company established a third plant and then a fourth plant.

The company has its Head Office situated at Thoppumpady, Kochi. Finance Wing of the company is stationed at Head Office.
The company has a 700+ strong workforce which it utilises for production.

HACCP- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point based quality system is practiced by the organization.
Different certifications and ISO standards the company possess are —
• BRC Certification - BRC Global Standards' guarantee the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer.
• ISO 22000 — 2005 - Specifies requirements for a food safety management system where an organization in the food chain needs to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe at the time of human consumption.
• BAP Certification — Best Aquaculture Practice Certification - A third-party certification, ensuring that your audit is fair, objective and traceable. We are the only aquaculture certification that encompasses the entire production chain: farms, processing plants, hatcheries and feed mills.
• FSSAI Certification — FS SAI regulates the manufacture, storage, distribution, sales, export and import of food products. The organization intends to make sure safe food suitable for human consumption is supplied from and to India. This system was created based on Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
