Having been involved in the fishing industry since 2005, we, at Blue Seas, care deeply about the longevity and sustainability of our oceans.
The wild oceans are responsible for up to 20% of the global protein supply. We understand the importance of keeping the balance between utilising the available resources sustainably and meeting our customer’s seafood demand on a global scale.
As a responsible stakeholder we follow initiatives set out by our Department of Environment, Forestry and Fisheries [DEFF], environmental groups, fisheries management agencies such as ICCAT, CITES, IOTC and more.
Our squid and mackerel vessels make use of sustainable fishing methods through one-by-one fishing, proactively preventing unnecessary by-catch, ensuring the maintenance of healthy ecosystems.
