Golden Ocean Fish Ltd has been in operation in Fiji since 2000. Golden Ocean Fish Ltd’s main business is Tuna Long-line fishing, processing and exporting of Yellow fin and Big Eye Tuna and other deep sea fish such as Albacore Tuna, Marlin, Swordfish, Mahimahi, Wahoo, Opah, Escolar, Sailfish and Spearfish. More than 30 Tuna longline fishing vessels operate under the centralised management of Golden Ocean Fish group of companies. The success of our business is attributed to our team of very dedicated, hands-on, experienced and qualified staff.
Our Tuna Fishing Fleet comprises of more than 30 Tuna long-line fishing vessels that fish within the 200 nautical mile exclusive economic zone around Fiji and its neighbouring Pacific Island countries. We have well equipped vessels for both fresh and frozen sashimi which ensures that the quality of our fish is maintained to the highest standards possible for our most discerning clients.
Golden Ocean Fish Ltd’s shore plant is one the largest seafood production facility in the Fiji Islands. It is located in the capital of Fiji, Suva a short distance from the main fishing port in Suva. We have two facilities which sustains a year-round fresh and frozen seafood operation capable of processing over 1000 tons of multiple species per year. This self-sufficient, remote facility can house as many as 200 employees.
