Oceanfresh Seafood's, founded in 2001, evolved out of managing director Gavin van der Burgh's passion for fishing. The company's aim has always been straightforward: to offer to discerning customers a direct and steady supply of the premium quality seafood caught from the pristine seas along the Southern African coastline. By dedicating itself unswervingly towards the achievement of this single goal, the company is fast becoming an unrivalled industry leader, captivating the langoustine market as well as being a principle supplier of wild caught lobster and prawns.
In collaboration with two dedicated factories, both situated by the sea - one in Margate, South Africa and the other in Maputo, Mozambique - production of value added lines from 7 deep-sea factory vessels is conducted. These factories work 24 hours a day, six days a week, to ensure the freshest possible produce. The Maputo factory ( Prestige Consultadores ) is one of the most successful processing facilities in the country. This facility is registered with both the FDA and the EU and is responsible for the production of product of Mozambique origin.
